Every comparison on this site is written by a named human, scored against weighted criteria, and updated when the facts change. No anonymous reviewers, no SEO-optimised filler, no paid placements. The full methodology is on the methodology page.

Founder and editor of Comparia. I started this site because every time I tried to pick between products, platforms or providers I was reading four tabs at once and still not sure I'd thought it through. Comparia is the tool I wanted to exist — a structured way to weigh what actually matters for your specific decision, with the working shown.

I write every comparison on this site and sign off on every recommendation. If I haven't tested something first-hand, I say so. If a score has low confidence, it shows in the table.

What Comparia is

Comparia is two things: a library of independent comparisons across consumer products (TVs, laptops, headphones, phones) and business tools (AI, payments, ecommerce, CRMs); and an app where you can build your own comparison on any decision, weight it by your priorities, and get a structured recommendation with the maths shown.

The comparisons on this marketing site are written and maintained by Gareth. The app at app.comparia.ai uses the same weighted-criteria method but applied to whatever you're choosing between.

Why it exists

Most comparison sites do one of two things. They rank by affiliate payout and call it a recommendation. Or they run generic reviews that can't actually tell you whether the thing is right for you. Both miss the point: a good decision isn't "which is best in general" — it's "which is best given what I care about". Comparia is built around that distinction.

Our editorial standards

  • Every comparison carries a named author and a visible "Last reviewed" date.
  • No vendor pays for placement, ranking or inclusion. Paid ads would be clearly labelled.
  • Some outbound retailer links are affiliate links. They never influence the recommendation. Full disclosure here.
  • Scores carry confidence levels. Where we can't verify first-hand, we say so.
  • Corrections are published openly. If you spot one, email us.
