1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of Comparia (comparia.ai and app.comparia.ai), operated by Comparia ("we", "us", "our"). By using Comparia you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. The service

Comparia is a decision assistant that helps you compare options, weigh priorities and choose with confidence. The service includes AI-powered recommendations, scoring and comparison tools.

Comparia is provided as a tool to support your decision-making. Recommendations are generated based on the data and priorities you provide. We do not guarantee that any recommendation will be the best choice for your specific circumstances. You are responsible for your own decisions.

3. Accounts

You may use some features of Comparia without an account. To save and manage decisions, you will need to create an account with a valid email address.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must not share your account with others or create multiple accounts.

4. Your data

You retain ownership of all data you enter into Comparia, including decision titles, options, criteria and any descriptions you provide.

By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to process your data as needed to provide the service, including sending decision data to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate recommendations. See our privacy policy for full details.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to access other users' data or accounts.
  • Interfere with the operation of the service.
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the service.
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. AI-generated content

Comparia uses artificial intelligence to generate recommendations, option suggestions, criteria suggestions and decision summaries. AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only.

While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions or outdated information. Product specifications, prices and availability should be verified with the relevant retailer before making a purchase.

7. Affiliate links

Comparia includes links to third-party retailers. Some of these are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you make a purchase through them. This does not affect the price you pay.

Affiliate relationships never influence the scoring, ranking or recommendations within Comparia. All recommendations are based on the criteria and priorities you set.

We are not responsible for the products, services, pricing or policies of third-party retailers. Your purchase is governed by the retailer's own terms and conditions.

8. Prices and product information

Prices and product details displayed within Comparia are provided for reference only. We do not guarantee that prices or specifications are accurate, current or complete. Always verify details on the retailer's website before purchasing.

9. Intellectual property

The Comparia name, logo, design, code and content (excluding user-submitted data) are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, distribute or reverse-engineer any part of the service without our written permission.

10. Availability

We aim to keep Comparia available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance, updates or circumstances beyond our control.

11. Limitation of liability

Comparia is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
